PATRIOTS RETURN TO TOP 25DBU's win over St. Edward's vaulted the Patriots back into the NSCAA Top 25 at No. 14. The Patriots previously appeared in the first poll of the season after a 2-0 start, including a win over No. 4 Colorado School of Mines.
SUCCESS AGAINST RANKED TEAMSThe Patriots are 4-1 against Top 25 teams this season including wins over No. 4 Colorado School of Mines, No. 14/18 St. Edward's and No. 24 Texas A&M-Commerce. Their one loss came against No. 17 Angelo State.
ACKERLY ALSO IN TOP 25Ackerly continues to be among the nation's elite goalkeepers, ranking ninth in Division II in save percentage (.901) and 21
st in goals against average (.596). She also leads the Heartland Conference in total saves (73) and shutouts (8).
SCOUTING THE CHAPSLubbock Christian is 5-0-0 in Heartland Conference play, but four of those wins have come against the bottom four teams in the conference table. The Chaps enter Thursday's match with an eight-game unbeaten streak.
LCU features senior forward Brooke Wendl, who leads the Heartland Conference in virtually every offensive category. Wendl ranks first in shots (65), points (23), goals (9) and game-winning goals (4). In a 7-1 win over the University of the Southwest, she scored four goals, which ranks fourth in the nation for single-game goals.
