THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist Volleyball Team will be returning to the Heartland Conference Tournament after a win by Newman University over Texas A&M International helped clinch a spot for the Lady Patriots. DBU's last appearance in the Heartland Conference Tournament in 2013 resulted in the Lady Patriots winning the tournament and advancing to the NCAA Regional Tournament. Before the tournament the Lady Patriots will face the St. Edward's Hilltoppers in their final match of the 2015 regular season.

In the most recent National Christian College Athletic Association poll, DBU ranks eighth among the NCCAA elite. The Lady Patriots hold a #2 ranking in the Central division with a 7.208 NCCAA Power Rating.

BALLEW CLOSING IN ON 100 DIGS
Junior
Hannah Ballew is closing in on the century mark as she approaches 100 digs for the season. Registering 10 digs against Lubbock Christian in DBU's last contest, Ballew currently sits at 99. Lady Patriots who have went over the 100 dig plateau include
Lauren Nicks (462),
Brooke Manley (248),
Kaycie Bird (231), and
Hannah Hester (179).

THE LAST TIME OUT
In their last meeting, DBU took SEU to five sets in a 3-2 win. DBU had a trio of match highs with
Brooke Manley registering 20 kills,
Kaycie Bird dishing out 29 assists, and
Lauren Nicks turning in 37 digs.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
St. Edward's has dropped seven of their last eight match and is currently on a five match losing streak, with those losses all coming by sweep. The Hilltoppers most recent match was a sweep at the hands of West Texas A&M.
