DBU Live StatsTHE LEADAfter starting their Heartland Conference play 3-0, the Dallas Baptist Volleyball Team have dropped back to back matches while on the road to conference foes, the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith and Newman University. The Lady Patriots are back home at The Burg Center as they face the St. Edward's Hilltoppers looking to improve in the Heartland Conference standings.
AWESOME ASSISTSThe duo of
Kaycie Bird and
Hannah Hester have been racking up the assists for the Lady Patriots this year. Bird recently surpassed the 200 assists mark for the season after registering 29 against Newman giving her 207 assists for the season. Hester eclipsed the 100 dig mark and is second on the team in assists with 1333.Â

FANTASTIC FITZPATRICKDBU has stood out this year for their high level of blocking.
Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick has been exceptional this year leading the Lady Patriots with 32 blocks so far this season, ranking fourth overall in blocks per set in the Heartland Conference with 0.91.Â
THE LAST TIME OUTThe Lady Patriots last faced the Hilltoppers on October 30, 2014 where they fell 3-2 in five sets. Match highs were set by
Brooke Manley with 16 kills,
Kaycie Bird with 47 assists and
Tadam Mergener with 34 digs.
SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERSThe Hilltoppers have dropped seven of their last eight meetings with their most recent a loss in a sweep to the UA Fort Smith. SEU, who lost in the Heartland Conference Tournament championship in 2014 will miss six seniors from last season's team including All-Heartland Conference outside hitters Amy Jones and Mary Koehler. Returning for St. Edward's is All-Heartland Conference outside hitter Hannah Rauch who led the team in kills last season. The Hilltoppers also have new leadership with Mary DeJute being named head coach. Dejute comes to St. Edward's after previously coaching at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, N.C.Â
