KICK-OFF
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team tied with Lubbock Christian University, 1-1, on Thursday afternoon at LCU Soccer Field in Lubbock, Texas. After the two schools exchanged first-half goals, the Patriots and Chaps held each other scoreless over the final 65 minutes of the match.

Haley Knesek, the Heartland Conference leader in points, goals and assists, scored in the 43rd minute to give LCU a short-lived lead. Just 19 seconds later, Leah Draper found the back of the net for the first time this season to level the score at 1-1. Hope Koym and the DBU defense were forced to face an array of shots, but Koym allowed just the one goal and made a career-high 13 saves.

DBU faces Oklahoma Christian in the Patriots' final regular season road contest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Eagle Soccer Field in Oklahoma City.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
 - DBU matched their 4-3-2 road mark from last season in Thursday's draw with LCU, and they have a chance Saturday to finish with the best road record since 2014.

  - The Patriots hadn't allowed a goal in conference play in over 258 minutes before Haley Knesek's goal on Thursday.

 - With a win Saturday and a Lubbock Christian loss, DBU would clinch a spot in the Heartland Conference Tournament.

 - Hope Koym has recorded 28 of her 78 saves in the past three matches.

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
The Eagles head into Saturday's showdown with a three-game losing streak in which they've been outscored 8-2. Dating back to October 1, OCU has a 0-3-2 record. Rubi Villegas, the team-leader in goals (6), has scored twice in that span.

Goalkeeper Carina Schanz has struggled as of late, allowing 11 of her 27 goals in the past five matches. She has registered 27 saves and a shutout in that span, while facing an average of 20 shots per game.

SERIES HISTORY
DBU is 5-1 alltime against OCU, claiming the past three meetings in the series. The Patriots topped the Eagles 3-1 earlier this season in Dallas behind a four-point performance by McKenna Namken. She scored the opening goal and assisted on the second and third goals to lead the Patriots' offense.
