THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team won in a close contest defeating the Hardin-Simmons University Cowboys, 5-4. The Patriots have now won their last two outings against teams from the American Southwest Conference.

The Patriots fell behind early in doubles action with the Cowboys taking two of the three games. 

DBU's Cannon Jones and Cole Schafer fell in line one to HSU's Alex Hunt and Andrew Eurek 8-6, while DBU's Anthony Burch and Nathan Lowe were unable to outlast HSU's Frankie Sanchez and B.J. Farmakis, 9-8 in line three. 

The duo of Isaac Childs and Jordan Jackson put the Patriots on the board, getting a win in line two defeating HSU's Kennan Nash and Chandler Livingston 8-6.
Down 2-1 going into singles action, the Patriots wasted no time retaking the lead. 

In line one for DBU, Jones came away with a 6-3, 6-4 win against HSU's Hunt with DBU's Burch taking line two against HSU's Ben Gutierrez 6-2, 6-3.

Despite missteps in lines three and six with HSU's Farmakis and Eurek defeating DBU's Jackson and Lowe, respectively, that did not slow down the Patriot momentum.
       
In line four, DBU's Schafer eased past HSU's Griffin Weinkam 6-2,6-4, accompanied with Lowe's 6-0, 6-2 win over HSU's Eurek sealed the Patriots' win.
