THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots are back into conference play tomorrow night as they face of against UA Fort Smith in Arkansas. UAFS is (2-0) in conference play and present a solid challenge for the Lady Patriots. DBU will be relying on their senior leader
Carly Hess who is second on the team in kills with 123. The Lady Patriots will also be counting on strong performances from Laruen Nicks who leads the team with an impressive 218 digs and 13 aces.

SIZELOVE AND HOLLAND STEPPING UP
Freshman's
Strealy Sizelove and Kasey Holland have providing valuable contributions for DBU this season. Sizelove has been enjoying an outstanding season from her setter position as she leads the team with 429 assists. Holland has been progressively improving as her playing time increases. These two young athletes are rising talents that continue to get better.

DEFENSE IS GETTING STRONGER
As DBU continues to work at playing complete sets with consistency, they have been tightening up on defense. This is in large part to Sidnee Jo Fitpatrick who inspires the team with passion and leads the team with 39 blocks.

SCOUTING UAFS
UA Fort Smith is on a hot streak with three straight wins with the past two games against other conference opponents. UAFS libero, Emily Tripp, is also coming off a Heartland Conference of the Week honor and she is currently ranked third in the nation with 6.67 digs per set. DBU has struggled against UAFS historically with a 2-13 all-time record as they look to close that gap.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Patriots last faced UA Fort Smith in the first round of the Heartland Conference Tournament. The result was a devastating end to a terrific DBU season as UAFS outlasted the DBU 1-3.Â
