LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Patriots were on the road last weekend where they had a match against West Texas A&M on Friday and Lubbock Christian on Saturday. DBU lost both of those matches with a score of 3-0 against WTAMU and 3-1 against Lubbock Christian. It was a tough weekend for the Lady Patriots, but they showed signs of improvement on offense with four players ending with at least five kills in the match against Lubbock Christian.
PATRIOT STORYLINES
- Alexa Lezak continues to show her value on offense and defense as she had 11 kills and 17 digs against Lubbock Christian.Â
- The Lady Patriots currently rank eighth in the nation and first in the Heartland Conference in blocks per set with 2.55.
- DBU has now lost three matches in a row, only winning one set in the process.
SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S
- In their 19 total matches, St. Edward's has been apart of 10 matches that only went to three sets, winning six and losing four of those.
- Morgan Beckham ranks sixth in the nation in digs per set with 6.17.
- The Lady Hilltoppers rank eighth in the nation and first in the Heartland Conference in team attacks per set with 40.43.
SERIES HISTORY
The Lady Patriots faced St. Edward's twice last year and lost both matches with scores of 0-3 and 1-3. They'll look to get a win against the Lady Hilltoppers for the first time since 2015.
