DBU took on Heartland Conference opponent Newman University on Saturday. The match went to the full five sets and the Lady Patriots held off the comeback attempt by Newman and won the match. It was a great offensive performance from DBU with four players reaching at least 10 kills.
Alexa Lezak led the way with 15 kills and chipped in 10 digs. DBU also saw their defense improve and ended the match with six blocks.
