LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Patriots got their first win of a 5-game road trip against Texas A&M International last Saturday. DBU went into the match on a six game losing streak where they had a combined set record of 2-18, but they made short work of TAMUI as they won the match in three sets. It was a good way for the Lady Patriots to turn things around on offense as they had five players end the match with an attack percentage of .250 or higher. 

PATRIOT STORYLINES

• DBU is coming off a match where they had a season-high in attack percentage at .314 and a season-low in errors with only 10.
• The Lady Patriots currently have a conference record of 3-5 and their last conference victory came against Newman when they played in The Burg on September 30th.
• The Lady Patriots now rank 31st in the nation and 2nd in the Heartland Conference in blocks per set with 2.23.

SCOUTING NEWMAN

• Newman is going into this game off a victory over Friends University, but they lost the previous four matches before that. So, both teams endured a losing streak, but both just broke that streak in their last match.
• Newman ranks 24th in the nation and 2nd in the conference in team kills with 1,185 on the season so far.
• Anna Burton ranks 22nd in the nation and 4th in the conference in digs per set at 5.67.

SERIES HISTORY
The last match between these two teams was a lot of fun. Newman visited DBU in late September and they had a match that went the full five sets. After DBU won the first two sets Newman came back to win two of their own, but DBU prevailed in the final set 15-11 to take the match. A win for DBU would also put them ahead of Newman in the Heartland Conference standings.
