LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Volleyball team will face off against the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas Friday at 2:00 p.m. inside the Burg. Last weekend, DBU went 2-2 at the Reddie-Tiger Challenge in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
In their last match versus Henderson State, Junior
Emma Eakin led the Lady Patriots with 16 kills. Junior
Strealy Sizelove registered 17 assists and seven digs while senior
Merci Perry added a team-high 30 assists of her own. Sophomore
Gabby Grindele posted 15 digs, while sophomore
Brooke Clark added 13 kills and 10 digs.
The Lady Patriots swept Union University and Mississippi College as well as falling to Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State.
PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The match is DBU's first home match of the season.
- DBU looks to avenge a two-year drought in home opener games.
- The Lady Patriots only have two ball handling errors on the season.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
This will be the sixth meeting between DBU and Southern Arkansas. The Lady Patriots lead the all-time series 4-1. The Muleriders finished 8-23 last season with a 1-15 record in conference play. This season, SAU is 3-6 coming off a loss to Arkansas Tech University.

DBU will compete in the Heartland Preseason Tournament September 13-15 in Dallas, Carrollton and Denton, Texas. The Lady Patriots will take on Lubbock Christian, St. Mary's, and Texas A&M International, Texas Woman's and Oklahoma Baptist, respectively.
