HEAD COACH MARCUS WOOD ON THE WIN
"Metro was an outstanding opponent. We had trouble getting into a rhythm in the first half and all the credit goes to MSU Denver. The first goal was Marta Magic. Quickly after Marta played in Madison Parks. Parks is capable of changing games with her pace and tonight Parks was spectacular. The third came on a beautiful service from Taylor Tufts to Joeli Benson. Then a beautiful moment for the freshman. Speedy McKenna Vela found Riley Sisson. The great level of competition brought out the best in the Patriots. Also, big shoutout for a great TEAM defensive effort and a shutout. Carmen had a big save in the first half and each player did her defensive job very well."
