No. 1 DBU Rolls Past West Texas A&M, Extends Record Win Streak to 16

THE RUNDOWN
The top-ranked DBU Women's Soccer team continued their dominant run on Saturday, cruising to a 5-0 victory over West Texas A&M at Patriot Soccer Field. With the win, the Patriots extend their program-record winning streak to 16 games. Five different players found the back of the net, while DBU's defense was equally impressive, holding the Lady Buffs without a single shot en route to their 13th shutout of the season.

After a scoreless start, DBU broke through in the 37th minute when Riley Olsen connected on an Ashley Washburn cross, heading home the first goal of the match. The Patriots dominated the first half, outshooting West Texas A&M 14-0 and carried a 1-0 advantage into the break.

The floodgates opened in the second half. Parker Coe struck first, converting off a corner kick in the 51st minute to double the lead. Emma Croley added to the tally 17 minutes later, finishing from close range to make it 3-0.

Moments later, Isabella Medina was taken down inside the box, drawing a yellow card on the Lady Buffs and earning a penalty kick. The freshman calmly buried the shot from the spot to extend the lead to four.

The highlight of the day came in the 87th minute, when Kylar Coffman delivered a stunning strike from 25 yards out, curling a high, arcing shot into the far post to cap the 5-0 win.
