No. 25 DBU Tramples Through Eastern New Mexico in Three Sets

THE RUNDOWN

The Lady Patriots dominated all facets of Saturday afternoon's sweep against the Eastern New Mexico Lady Greyhounds (25-12, 25-15, 25-18). The DBU attack was uber-efficient, swinging to the tune of a .464 Hit%. The Lady Patriots defense was just as formidable, forcing 11 attack errors while holding the Lady Greyhound attack to a .145 Hit%.

The DBU offense put on a laser show for those in attendance at The Burg Center. Delaney Fuller led the group with 17 kills, eight of which came in the first set. The Lady Patriots posted 19 kills in the first set, the highest number they've posted in a single set this season. Sadie Washburn posted a season-high seven kills and converted on each of her first five swings.

The Lady Pats outattacked ENMU handily (84-62), and also showed dominance from behind the baseline. ENMU was unable totally a single ace, while DBU posted eight of their own. Delaney Fuller set a season-high mark of five aces, as she seemed to have her way all afternoon regardless of where she was on the floor.

DBU sent 12 total players to the court this afternoon, including Madisyn Jones, who relieved Aryn Walton of her setter duties late in today's affair. Jones, the sophomore transfer from North Texas, notched six assists and showed a glimpse of how life for the Lady Patriots will be without coveted senior Aryn Walton next season.

DBU will look to ride the momentum gained from a seemingly stainless victory into next weekend where they will travel to south Texas for a pair of conference waltzes.
