The DBU Volleyball team improved to 7-2 in Lone Star Conference play with a decisive 3-1 victory over Texas A&M International on Friday night at the TAMIU Kinesiology and Convocation Building in Laredo, Texas. The match showcased a back-and-forth battle through the first two sets before the Lady Patriots pulled away in the final two sets.

DBU held a narrow 11-10 lead in the first set
 before embarking on a dominant 6-0 run to extend their advantage to 17-10. Although TAMIU fought back, narrowing the gap to 22-17, DBU finished strong, winning the final three points to take the set 25-17.

The second set proved challenging for the Lady Patriots, as they fell to TAMIU 25-20. However, DBU quickly regrouped in the third set, jumping out to an early 6-1 lead. TAMIU rallied to take a 16-15 lead, but the Lady Patriots responded with four consecutive points to regain control.
Karly Wells sealed the set with a powerful kill, handing DBU a 25-21 victory.
In the fourth set, the Lady Patriots dominated from the start, racing out to an 8-2 lead and extending their lead to 15-5, highlighted by another impressive kill from Wells. With a 19-15 lead, the Lady Patriots showcased their strength, rattling off four straight points to close out the match decisively with a 25-16 win.
