Deja Vu: Volleyball Sweeps Bentley to Propel Themselves to 2-0

THE RUNDOWN

DBU cruises through Bentley this afternoon in three straight sets to improve their record to 2-0. This win increases the Lady Patriots' unbeaten streak at home in the regular season to 26 consecutive games, and they will look to add one to that number later tonight against UT Tyler.

The entire contest was dominated by the Lady Patriots but no frame was more dominant than the first. The DBU attack early on this afternoon showcased the depth of this year's locker room. Five different players notched a kill in the first set, featuring Delaney Fuller leading the way with four. Daylee Doggett showcased her range and ability to keep rallies alive with five digs in the first set.

DBU took both of the last two frames by a score of 25-17, putting a book end to the first half of the doubleheader. Price Reeves once again set the tone in the consistency department, leading the pack with a .643 Kill%. Aryn Walton has her second consecutive 30+ assist game, with 31 in this afternoon's affair.

Delaney Fuller led the group with 15 kills this afternoon, followed by Karly Wells and Price Reeves who both had nine of their own. The Lady Patriots will immediately turn around and focus their attention on UT Tyler, who they will face at 7:00 this evening at The Burg Center. Price Reeves was asked about the team's plans in between contests, and displayed focused directiveness, stating that the group will "refuel, rest and get treatment before reporting again at four."
