THE RUNDOWN
The No. 3 DBU Women's Soccer team extended their historic start to the season Wednesday night, riding a record-setting performance from senior midfielder
Anne Louthan to a 4–1 victory over UT Dallas in Richardson.
Louthan, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, delivered a night to remember, scoring all four of DBU's goals to propel the Patriots to their 11th consecutive win, the longest season-opening streak in program history.
The Comets struck first when Gabby Thompson found the back of the net just 10 minutes into the match. The early deficit didn't rattle the Patriots, who responded swiftly as Louthan headed home a pass from just inside the midfield stripe from
Parker Coe to level the score.
After halftime, Louthan took over. With the match still tied in the 61st minute, she delivered the go-ahead goal, then completed her hat trick in the 74th minute before tacking on a fourth goal in the 81st to seal the dominant win.
DBU's defense clamped down in the second half, limiting UTD to just four shots over the final 45 minutes, while the Patriots' attack continued to apply relentless pressure throughout.

Parker Coe provided a strong performance and Sam Jones made an incredible save.
Ashley Washburn was also a game-changer in both halves for us."
