THE RUNDOWN
The Lady Patriots (5-1) took down the Clarion Golden Eagles in a five-set thriller to conclude DBU's weekend at the Wildcat Classic. The Lady Patriots and the Golden Eagles alternated set wins through the first four, before DBU ran away with the deciding fifth set (23-25, 25-15, 21-25, 29-27, 15-6).

Karly Wells had a game-high 27 kills, and was supported by fellow outside
Lauren Witte's 14. The Ws combined for 18 digs, and Witte provided the cherry on top with a pair of aces.

Middles
Kalin Hubbard and
Madison Clark both posted season-highs in the kill column, with seven each. Hubbard posted three total blocks and led the team in efficiency with a .294 hitting percentage. Clark added two total blocks and six digs.
​
Paityn Winters logged her first career 20-20 game, totaling 28 assists and 20 digs. Winters also added two aces and two kills in the final game of the weekend.
Blue Anderson led everyone on the floor with 29 digs, which is a new career-high.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Once again, both teams finished with a hitting percentage under .200 (DBU- .193, Clarion- .117).
- DBU held Clarion's leading attacker, Raegan Stader, to a .100 hitting percentage on 60 swings.
- The Lady Patriots committed 9 fewer attack errors than the Golden Eagles (25-34).

Following the Wildcat Classic, the Lady Patriots will return to Texas for the Lone Star Conference Challenge on September 19-20, hosted by Texas Woman's University.
