After picking up wins over Southeastern Oklahoma State and Newman University, the Dallas Baptist Lady Patriot Tennis Team moved into the top ten regional rankings. The Lady Patriots are currently ranked ninth in the South Central Region, holding an impressive 12-5 overall record.
The Doubles Team of Junior
Natalie Holmes and Sophomore
Hannah Innes also moved into the regional rankings, as they currently comprise the ninth best duo combination in the South Central Region. Holmes and Innes are 15-2 on the season, with the only two losses coming against No. 18 Drury and No. 23 Incarnate Word.
The Lady Patriots suffered two tough losses against Drury on March 24, and No. 24 Central Oklahoma a day later, before rebounding with two staggering victories over Southeastern Oklahoma and Newman University.
On March 27, Holmes and Junior
Lisa Olian each picked up singles victories for DBU, as the Patriots completed the sweep of Southeastern, 5-0. DBU nearly completed the sweep of Newman University later in the day, only dropping one singles match, to win 8-1.
The Lady Patriots will return to the courts on April 1, when they welcome East Central University to campus. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
