Lady Patriot Volleyball Suffers Tough Loss at Arkansas Fort Smith


The Lady Patriot Volleyball Team was defeated by the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, Thursday evening, 0-3. The Lady Patriots drop to 7-7 on the season, but remain undefeated in Heartland Conference play.

The Lady Patriots carried a three-game winning streak heading into the match, but the Lions used 37 kills and a .174 attack percentage to end the DBU streak, 18-25, 19-25, and 22-25. DBU picked up only 28 kills on the night to go along with 21 errors, for a .064 attack percentage.

Junior Kaylyn Frink led the way for the Lady Patriots with eight kills and 18 digs. Freshman Krystal Wunderlich added six kills of her own, while Freshman Graysen Reed had a stellar game with 13 digs.

The Lady Patriots will wrap up their three-game road trip on September 25, as they take on Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
