Tyler Robbins' two-run homerun in the 11th inning led the Dallas Baptist Patriot Baseball Team to a 3-1 win over the 17th-ranked Owls from Rice University Tuesday night in Houston. The victory marks the Patriots' second win over a top 25 opponent this season, and improves them to 11-6 overall.

Jared Stafford threw nine innings, allowing only one run on six hits, but it was Senior
Brandon Williamson who picked up the win for the Patriots after coming on in the tenth.
Rice struck first by scoring a lone run in the bottom of the second, but Junior
Joel Hutter evened the score for DBU in the top of the fifth. After Junior
Ryan Behmanesh reached on an Owl error, Hutter singled to right field, scoring the Patriots first run of the game.
With the score still tied at one through the tenth, the stage was set for Robbins' heroics in the top of the 11th. After Junior
Landon Anderson reached on a double down the left field line to start the inning, Robbins stepped to the plate and delivered the go-ahead runs with his second homerun of the year, giving the Patriots a 3-1 lead.
Senior
Chris Haney then sealed the game in the bottom of the 11th for DBU as he picked up his fifth save of the year.
After being on the road for their past six games, the Patriots will return home for a three-game series against Binghamton University this weekend. The first game of the double header on Saturday is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and game three will take place Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
