No. 28 Women's Tennis (12-1) collected its tenth straight victory with a 5-4 win over #35 Midwestern State at the MSU Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon. Both teams are ranked in the region with Dallas Baptist holding a No. 6 ranking while Midwestern State follows with a No. 8 ranking. The Lady Patriots collected four of six points in singles play and one of the three doubles points. Their lone win in doubles competition came at the top spot with
Natalie Gennissen and
Hannah Innes picking up an 8-2 win.
"The match was a fight from the beginning," said Head Coach Jennifer Curran. "We were able to hold on because our girls played smart and they played steady. It was great tennis and I feel like we earned the win. I'm proud of them and look forward to this weekend."

Katie Daugherty and
Leah Smith all won their individual matches with Rutt and Daugherty needing three sets to finish. With their individual wins, Daugherty and Innes remain undefeated on the season. The Lady Patriots will return to the court with a conference matchup on Friday afternoon against Newman University.
