THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist Volleyball team are on a roll as they aim to finish strong towards the end of the season. The Lady Patriots have won five of their last six matches, in which four of those matches were won in straight sets. DBU's win over Texas A&M-Commerce will be the last time the Lady Patriots see the Burg Center for a match until "Senior Night" as they begin an extensive road trip. The first match of the Lady Patriots six consecutive road games will begin in Denton, TX where they will face the Texas Woman's University Pioneers.

STRAIGHT SETS STREAK GOES TO THREE
DBU's win over TAMUC was their third win in a row where they've won in straight sets. The last time a Lady Patriots team won three games in a row in straight sets was in 2013 and that team eventually qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament.

Through the first 17 matches with a record of 9-8, the 2014 Lady Patriots have a better record than both of the past Lady Patriots teams that would eventually become NCAA Regional Tournament qualifiers.
