THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist Volleyball team will finish up this week's road trip in Odessa, TX where they will have a double header against the University of Texas-Permian Basin and Eastern New Mexico University. The Lady Patriots have yet to win a match so far on this road trip, but hope that changes before they return home.  DBU has dropped their last four matches.
 
BIRD DIGS FOR 200
Redshirt junior setter Kaycie Bird recently went over 200 digs for the season after posting 11 digs versus West Texas A&M. Bird currently has 204 digs on the year ranking third on the team.

LONESTAR SURVIVAL
Including the upcoming game against Eastern New Mexico, Dallas Baptist has played six of the nine teams in the Lonestar Conference. Wins versus the LSC include two victories over Texas A&M-Commerce.
 
THE LAST TIME OUT VERSUS THE FALCONS
DBU and UTPB met earlier this season with the match going a full five sets. The Lady Patriots would prevail defeating the Falcons, 3-2. DBU registered many match highs in the affair with Tiara Gipson having 22 kills, Tadam Mergener registering 47 digs, and Kaycie Bird dishing out 66 assists. Mergener and Bird both set Heartland Conference season match records for their performance.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS
The University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons are currently in seventh place in the Heartland Conference and have lost three of their last four matches. Junior middle hitter Morgann Davis is ranked fourth in the Heartland Conference in hitting percentage, hitting for .293. The Falcons last match was a loss in a sweep to the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.   
 
THE LAST TIME OUT VERSUS THE ZIAS

It was the Lady Buffs Classic in 2010 when DBU and ENMU last met. The Lady Patriots would defeat the Zias, 3-1 with former Lady Patriot Becky Swann recording 12 kills and recently graduated Cameron Hartson registering a match high 20 digs.   

SCOUTING THE ZIAS
The Eastern New Mexico Zias are currently in sixth place in the Lonestar Conference and have a record of 4-3 when playing at neutral site matches. ENMU leads the Lonestar Conference in service aces averaging 1.34 per set. The Zias' last match was a win over Cameron University, 3-1.
 
SERIES HISTORY
After winning this season's earlier match-up against UTPB, DBU has tied their series history record up at 9-9. The Lady Patriots have yet to lose to the Zias' since 2006 with a record of, 3-0.
