The Lady Patriots are currently tied for third in the Heartland Conference and with four of their next five matches at home, they look to make a push in the standings starting with, the University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons.
NICKS NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEKThis week the Heartland Conference announced that junior libero
Lauren Nicks has been selected as Heartland Conference Player of the Week for her standout play during the week of September 28 - October 4 against St. Edward's and Midwestern State University.

DALLAS DEFENSIVEDallas Baptist has allowed the least amount of service aces this season in the Heartland Conference. The Lady Patriots have allowed only 34 service aces this season, only allowed 0.76 per set.
LADY PATRIOTS GO OVER 1,000DBU eclipsed the 1,000 points by set mark this season after scoring 60 team points in a win over the Midwestern State Mustangs. The Lady Patriots have currently scored 1,010 points this year.
THE LAST TIME OUTThe last meeting between the two squads in Odessa on October 25, 2014 resulted in UTPB capturing a 3-2, five set win over DBU.

SCOUTING THE FALCONSAfter finishing 2014 with an overall record of 12-16 (6-10 in Heartland Conference play) UT-Permian Basin hired new head coach Tim Loesch who spent three seasons as head indoor and sand volleyball coach at Division I Stetson University. The Falcons come into The Burg Center winners of their last two matches including their most recent being a 3-0 sweep over Oklahoma Panhandle State. UTPB currently gives up the fourth most opponents assists and kills in the Heartland Conference. Â
