THE LEAD
To open up Heartland Conference play the Dallas Baptist Women's Tennis Team would fall to the St. Edward's Hilltoppers 6-3.

The Lady Patriots would come out of doubles play 1-2, with their lone win coming from the duo of Cassandra Wennerstrom and Liz Slaughter in Line 2. The pair would win the Line 8-1.

Natalie Gennissen would tie the match at 2-2 for DBU as she would open singles competition winning Line 1 by a score of 6-7, 6-3, 6-3.

From there the Lady Patriots would come up short in the next four Lines of competition and fall to a 6-2 match deficit.

In the final Line of the afternoon freshman Bianca Tijerina would seal a 6-2, 6-4 victory.
