THE LEADThe Dallas Baptist Women's Tennis Team would go on to win their season high sixth straight match, after defeating Heartland Conference foe the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, 8-1. This improved DBU's record to 10-2 overall and 3-2 in Heartland Conference play.
In doubles action, the Lady Patriots would sweep all three Lines of play starting with
Natalie Gennissen and
Amanda Richter claiming Line 1 by a score of 8-3.
Cassandra Wennerstrom and
Liz Slaughter would win Line 2 by the same score, followed by
Maria Fernandez de Camilo and
Bianca Tijerina winning Line 3 by a score of 8-5.
Going into singles play up 3-0, DBU increased their margin by winning Lines 1-5. only falling in Line 6.
Gennissen would get a 7-5, 6-1 win in Line 1 and Wennerstron would win Line 2 in three sets by a score of 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. Fernandez de Camilo would also win in three sets by a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 in Line 3.
Richter and Slaughter would round out the Lady Patriots route of singles play winning Lines 4 and 5 by a score of 6-3, 6-4 and 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, respectively.
