THE LEAD
In day one of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Women's Tennis National Championship Tournament, the Dallas Baptist Women's Tennis Team would win big as they swept both Campbellsville University and Roberts Wesleyan College.

In the first match of the day versus Campbellsville, the Lady Patriots swept all of doubles play with Natalie Gennissen and Amanda Richter claiming No. 1 with a score of 8-2, Cassandra Wennerstrom and Liz Slaughter won No. 2 by a score of 8-4, and Bianca Tijerina and Maria Fernandez de Camilo clinched No. 3, 8-3.

Only two of the six singles matches would go completed, as DBU would come out on top in both serving bagels. Gennissen would claim No. 1 by a score of 6-0,6-0 and Courtney McWilliams would claim No. 6, 6-0, 6-0.

In the following match versus Roberts Wesleyan, Dallas Baptist would keep the momentum going, starting in doubles action sweeping all matches, outscoring RWCW 24-9.

Singles action would once again only see two of the six matches, with Wennerstrom prevailing 6-1,6-1 in No. 2 and Tijerina winning No. 6 by a score of 6-0, 6-1.
