After falling in the first match to #22 ranked West Texas A&M, the Lady Patriots would win the final three matches of the Invite defeating Adams State, Eastern New Mexico, and Colorado State-Pueblo. DBU looks to add to their three game win streak as they face Lone Star Conference member, the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions.

Tadam Mergener has had no problem moving back to her original position of outside hitter. During the West Texas A&M Invite, Mergener had a total of 45 kills, including a 20 kill outing versus Colorado State-Pueblo.Â
NICKS STEPPING UP AT LIBEROStepping into the libero role for 2015, freshman
Lauren Nicks had stand out performances over the weekend at the West Texas A&M Invite as she amassed 66 digs in four games, including a season high 19 digs versus Eastern New Mexico.
MANLEY CLOSING IN ON 300 CAREER POINTSFinishing her freshman year with 239.5 points, sophomore
Brooke Manley is closing in on the 300 point mark for her career after registering 53.5 over the weekend bringing her total to 293 points.Â
SCOUTING THE LIONSTAMUC opened the season playing in the Hilton Garden Inn Classic in Denton, TX, where they would finish with a 2-2 record. The Lions most recent match was a 3-0 loss to Arkansas Tech in their final match of the Classic. Texas A&M-Commerce returns 12 members from their 2014 team including All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention Courtney Tate who finished in the top 3 of the LSC for total assist at 1,056 and assist per game at 9.69. The Lions also added former Kentucky Wesleyan outside hitter Summer Alford. While at KWU, Alford was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Freshman Player of the Year and selected to First Team All-Conference Team.
