THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots conclude their successful home stand on Saturday at noon against UA Fort Smith. DBU has battled through injuries and players playing out of position but their competitive spirit and heart has willed this team this past month.
 
BALLEW DOES IT ALL
Senior Hannah Ballew is a perfect example of an athlete that will do whatever it takes to help the team. With injuries to the Lady Patriots, Ballew has stepped up and has been phenomenal for DBU. Ballew leads the Lady Patriots with 23 service aces and is second in digs with 286.
 
HESTER IS STEPPING UP
Strealy Sizelove has been the primary setter for DBU this season and leads the team with 630 assists. Over the past month, Hannah Hester has stepped up as well to help get her Lady Patriots in position to score. Hester is second on the team in assists with 226 and third in aces with 15.
 
SCOUTING UA FORT SMITH
After beginning the season 3-5, UA Fort Smith has been one of the hottest teams in college volleyball. UAFS is on a 15-game winning streak and they are 10-0 in conference play as they are currently first in the Heartland Conference.
 
LAST TIME OUT
DBU last played UA Fort Smith back in September as they fell in three sets. The Lady Patriots are 2-13 against UAFS dating back to 2009.
