THE LEAD 
The Dallas Baptist Women's Tennis Team dropped their first match of the season falling to the University of Central Oklahoma, 6-3.

In doubles action the Brochos claimed two of the three lines, with Kirtana Baht and Shali Shoepflin defeating DBU's Ana Marija Banic and Maria Fernandez de Camilo in line one by a score of 9-7 and Jenny Bond and Alix Williams defeating DBU's Cassidy Paul and Bianca Tijerina in line three by a score of 8-4. 

DBU's Amanda Richter and Liz Slaughter prevailed in line two defeating UCO's Anya Minakova and Alli Hodges 8-4.

In singles action, UCO's Hodges claimed line one defeating DBU's Marija Banic, 6-3, 6-4. DBU would claim line two with Slaughter prevailing over UCO's Bhat 6-4, 7-6 (4). UCO claimed lines three and four with Williams defeating DBU's Fernandez de Camilo 6-3, 6-4 and Shoepflin defeating DBU's Richter 6-1, 6-4. A 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win over DBU's Paul by UCO's Paul gave UCO line six as well. 

The Lady Patriots only other point from singles play was a line five victory by Tijerina, who defeated UCO's Minkakova, 6-1, 6-4.
