THE LEAD
The DBU Women's Tennis Team went 2-0 on the day, when they faced both Metro State University, 8-1 and Colorado Christian, 9-0.

To start off the match against Metro State, the Lady Patriots swept all three lines in doubles play.

Ana Marija Banic and Maria Fernandez de Camilo won line one by a score of 8-4, with Madeline Coffman and Bianca Tijerina do so as well in line three by the same score.

Amanda Richter and Liz Slaughter, claimed line two with 8-6 win.

In singles actions, a dominating 6-0, 6-0 win by Richter in line five, help set the tone for DBU to take five of the six lines of play.

Slaughter received a 6-3, 6-1 decision in line two, with Fernandez notching a 6-1, 7-5 victory in line three, along with Coffman taking line four, 7-5, 6-3.

Tijerina, sealed line six prevailing 6-0, 6-1.

Against Colorado Christian, the Lady Patriots showcased total domination in their sweep.

DBU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in doubles play, powered by a 8-0 shutout by Slaughter and Richter in line two.

The onslaught continued in singles, with the Lady Patriots taking all six lines, including a 6-0, 6-1 victory in line three by Maria Fernandez de Camilo.
