Dallas Baptist University will be the host to the 2016 Heartland Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championships. The 2016 championship event is scheduled to begin with semifinal matches on Friday, April 29 and championship matches on Saturday, April 30 at the Southern Methodist University Tennis Complex in Dallas, Texas.

The single elimination tournaments will span two days and will feature the top four Heartland Conference teams from the Men's and Women's seasons,  

The Women's pool include the Lady Patriots, who enter the tournament seeded #4, finishing the regular season with an overall record of 10-9, 2-3 in Heartland Conference play.

Other teams in the Women's bracket include #1 St. Mary's (17-3, 5-0), #2 St. Edward's (14-7, 4-1), and #3 Newman (15-6, 3-2).

DBU will face StMU on day one of the tournament. The Rattlers defeated the Lady Patriots earlier this year 7-2. 

Participants in the Men's Tournament include #1 St. Mary's (13-10, 5-0), #2 St. Edward's (9-13, 4-1), #3 Newman (9-11, 3-2), and UA Fort Smith (3-13, 2-30.
