THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots are back at home after a week off of competition as they prepared for their upcoming schedule. DBU will be faced with challenging Texas A&M – Kingsville team that has gotten off to one of their best seasons in school history. The Lady Patriots will be counting on a strong home crowd and their experienced leaders. Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick is coming off a week where she earned the Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week honors after recording an impressive 41 kills in 4 games. DBU will also need some defensive help from seniors Carly Hess who leads the team with 105 kills and Hannah Ballew with her team leading 178 digs.
 
COULD THIS BE THE NIGHT
Coach Kokel is sitting at 199 career wins as the Lady Patriots approach their Saturday night home game. This is Kokel's fourteenth season as the head coach for DBU. Kokel has poured into many girls and has won a lot games at the helm of the Lady Patriots. It would be an exciting night if DBU were able to earn Kokel's 200^th win at the Burg Center.
 
CROWD IMPACT
The Lady Patriots have only experienced two home games this season but at those home games, DBU enjoyed a roaring crowd that inspired the team. The Lady Patriots are hoping that the fans at DBU are preparing to bring that same enthusiasm for a game that holds some potential celebration.
 
THE OFFENSE IS COMING TOGETHER
The Lady Patriots are a young talented team that has a few experienced, strong upperclassmen leaders. After a week off of competition, DBU is eager to see their offense find some consistency.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M – KINGSVILLE
Texas A&M – Kingsville poses a strong threat to the Lady Patriots. TAMKU went 7-0 to start the season, which is the best start the season Texas A&M – Kingsville has ever enjoyed. Kingsville's outside hitter, Krystal Faison is a dangerous offensive ace that has recorded 144 kills this season. TAMKU has something in common with the Lady Patriots. Texas A&M – Kingsville is also coming off a loss from DBU's conference opponent, St. Mary's.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Patriots have only played TAMKU one time in school history. That game was played in September 2010 and resulted in a DBU 3-0 victory. The Lady Patriots are hoping for a similar result tomorrow night.
