THE LEAD
 The Lady Patriots are heading to Wichita Falls to compete in the Hampton Inn-Vitational tournament. DBU is looking to build off the progress they have made from their first tournament of the season in Colorado. At the Oredigger Classic, DBU competed against some of the nations top competition. The Lady Patriots are hungry to get their first win of the season. However, it will not be an easy task, as DBU will be challenged with some stiff competition. The Lady Patriots will look to senior leader Hannah Ballew who has recorded the most digs for the team and their impressive kill leaders Madeline Dolberry and Carly Hess.
 
FITZPATRICK A STAPLE OF CONSISTENCY
Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick is one of those players that every team either needs or wants. She does a little bit of everything on the court coming from her middle blocker position and she does it all with consistency for the Lady Patriots. She is coming off a 2015 season where she led DBU with a .245 attack percentage, second in blocks with 71, and third in kills and points with 238 points 197 kills. Fitzpatrick's dependability is a great asset to the Lady Patriots as the head into their second tournament of the season.
 
THERE IS A LOT TO LOVE ABOUT FRESHMAN SIZELOVE
Strealy Sizelove entered her first collegiate tournament last week and displayed no freshman jitters even against some of the nations top DII competition. She showed poised for DBU and led the team with 65 assists in the Oredigger Classic. Sizelove has a bright future ahead of her on the Lady Patriots.
 
THE LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Patriots are on schedule to play against four teams at the Hampton Inn-Vitational. DBU will face Southeastern Friday afternoon with the first game of the tournament.  DBU has hopes to do much as the same last time out against Southeastern when the won 3-1 in 2015. Friday evening, the Lady Patriots will compete against the host team Midwestern State. The Lady Patriots also won 3-1 in their previous game in 2015. On Saturday, DBU opens the day against Emporia State. ESU is a team the Lady Patriots haven't faced since a 1-3 loss back in 2011.  The Lady Patriots will be playing Southern Nazarene for their last game of the tournament. DBU has dropped the only game ever played between the two back in 2013 when SNU won 3-1.
 
SCOUTING THE HAMPTON INN-VITATIONAL
The host team, Midwestern State, started the season competing in the Washburn Invitational. The exited the tournament with their junior outside hitter, Aerielle Edwards winning an All-Tournament Team honor and a record of 1-3. One of those close loses came at the hands of one of the teams DBU will face at the Hampton Inn-Vitational, Emporia State. ESU enters the tournament after also recording a 1-3 record in the Washburn Invitational. Southern Nazarene will be coming into this tournament fresh as they have yet to play a game this season. SNU is projected finish fourth in the Great American Conference. Southeastern got off to a hot start as they hosted the South Central Classic tournament. SE tallied a 3-1 record and their setter, Alissa Benson earned herself Setter of the Week honors for the GAC.
 
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Lady Patriots have a long history with SE and record between them is tied up at 11-11. Ironically enough, DBU and MSU also have an all-time 11-11 record. The Lady Patriots are hoping to earn their first win in a 0-4 all-time series against Emporia State. DBU has one game on record against Southern Nazarene as SNU holds the series lead 1-0.
