THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots Tennis team bounced back from after a tough loss to St. Edwards with a signature 6-3 victory to #24 in nation, Cameron University. DBU began singles play with the momentum of taking 2 of 3 in doubles play.
 
 Upperclassmen, #6 Bianca Tijerina and #5 Liz Slaughter showed their poise and maturity by taking care of business in both singles and doubles play.
 
Freshmen, #3 Mikayla Rinker and #4 Skylar McDonald provided the Lady Patriots with two solidifying wins, while also proving that they are playing more experienced than advertised.

COACH LEAH RUTT TAKES PRIDE IN COACHING THE LADY PATRIOTS     
Very proud to coach our ladies today. Proud of the way they fought and the grit they showed. We had two freshmen pull out huge singles wins for us which shows the dedication and commitment they have to this team and program. Our ladies exuded hunger and humbleness today after coming off a tough 5-4 loss on Saturday. Solid performances from lines 2 and 3 doubles gave us positive momentum into singles! Liz and Bianca both showed some upperclassman maturity and leadership today by winning their doubles and singles lines. Overall, the team has recognized the importance of unity and energy and staying tough in tense moments. Beating a team who is #3 in region and #24 in the nation proves that we are a strong team and have great opportunities ahead.
