THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots Tennis team were outlasted by #12 in the nation, St. Mary's University in San. Antonio, Texas 2-7. DBU currently is ranked #5 in the region but the #1 team in the region, StMU refused to be unseated in this matchup.
 
 #4 Skylar McDonald and #5 Liz Slaughter are the lone Lady Patriots in the midst of many close matchups to earn wins for DBU Friday Afternoon. McDonald took care of business in a three-set showdown, which concluded with a 10-6 third set win. While Slaughter did much of the same as she also earned DBU a win with a third set, 10-6 win.

"Our ladies started slow in doubles and didn't have our best showing there. We came out stronger in singles and found some momentum in several spots. We capitalized well in two of our singles matches. Looking forward to the upcoming opportunities in our last few regular season matches."
