THE LEAD
The DBU Women's Tennis team will compete against Midwestern State on Friday afternoon in Wichita Falls. The Lady Patriots fell to St. Edward's 6-1 last Thursday at Kiest Park in Dallas. With the loss, the Lady Patriots fell to 17-7.
Taylor Leslie took home the lone singles win for DBU defeating Beth Hayward (2-6, 6-2, 10-7).
Adriana Carpenter and
Taylor Leslie narrowly fell 7-6 to Pao Carpio and Loli Perim in doubles play.

SCOUTING MIDWESTERN STATE
After stringing together a 7-0 sweep against UT Permian Basin on April 5th, 34th-ranked Midwestern State picked up right where it left off. The Lady Mustangs picked up nine wins on Saturday at Western New Mexico for the team's second-straight 7-0 win. MSU improved to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in LSC play. Against WNM, the Lady Mustangs raced out to an early lead with a clean sweep in doubles. The duo of Greta Lazzarotto and Casie Curry opened the day with their fourth-straight win, trumping Carolina Torrico and Nicold Gonzalez, 6-2, at the No. 2 line. The doubles pair of Ashley Ramirez and Bianca Duff clinched the point against Julia Tozzi and Camila Gomez, 6-3, at the No. 1 line.
