THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots travel across town to the Arlington Tennis Center for the 2019 Heartland Conference Tournament. The tournament will feature a four-team fields with two semifinal matches on Friday, April 26 before the championship matches on Saturday morning, April 27.

The Lady Patriots are ranked No. 45 in DII, and are 17-8 this season with a 2-2 record in conference matchups coming in as a No. 3 seed in the tournament. DBU will take on No. 2 seed St. Mary's at 9:00 a.m. St. Mary's pulled off a 4-0 win over DBU earlier this season.

SCOUTING ST. MARY'S
The second semifinal features second-seeded St. Mary's. The second seed in the tournament is No. 35 St. Mary's. The Rattlers are 12-7 this season with a 3-1 conference record losing to only St. Edward's in Heartland play. Last time out, The St. Mary's Women's Tennis team dropped a close battle against Texas A&M Kingsville on Wednesday at the Javelinas home courts, 4-3. The afternoon began with doubles play, where unfortunately the Rattlers were unable to secure the doubles point. On the top court, senior duo Alex Corder and Hannah Petersen had a tough contest against No. 46 ranked Lisa Carvajal and Maya Donkor, dropping the set 6-1. On court No. 2, Ally Maciel and Isabelle Bergman were able to secure a win, winning a close match 6-4.
