After last week's spring season opener was postponed due to snow, the DBU Women's Tennis team opened up their spring season on Thursday with a 7-0 win against Texas Wesleyan, blanking the Rams for their first win of the season.

Sophomore
Caroline Hudson got the Lady Patriots going with a line one win in singles competition. After dropping the first set, Hudson bounced back win both the second and third sets.
Grace Gaskins picked up her first singles win as a Lady Patriot, winning her line two match in two sets.
Madison Stafford and
Ira Vogelmann followed with singles wins of their own in two sets each, while Leslie Omerie and Elise Carbo topped off the Lady Patriots singles matches with wins in lines five and six.

DBU also won all three doubles matches against the Rams, starting with a line one win by senior
Taylor Leslie and sophomore
Caroline Hudson. Line two featured
Grace Gaskins and
Ira Vogelmann, while line three was led by
Adriana Carpenter and
Sofia Teran. Both lines blanked the Rams, completing the clean sweep to open up the season.

The Lady Patriots are out to a 1-0 start and now travel to Wichita, Kansas, to take on the Newman Jets on Friday morning.
