Lady Patriots Sweep TAMUK to Conclude a Dominant Weekend

THE RUNDOWN

DBU (14-6, 8-2) smothered Texas A&M Kingsville (11-10, 3-7) in a Saturday afternoon affair that the Lady Patriots took complete control of (25-18, 25-13, 25-20). This victory wraps up a successful weekend road trip as DBU returns home two wins richer than before.

Program history was etched in this contest as DBU's leading attacker Delaney Fuller notched her 1000th kill while donning the Patriot red, white, and navy. Fuller has now eclipsed 1,300 career kills including her time at Angelo State University. In today's contest, Fuller posted 17 kills, which led everyone on the floor.

Aryn Walton dished out 31 assists while converting on all three of her attack attempts. The Lady Patriot attack saw efficient production from each of the core hitters, but Price Reeves led all of them with a .778 Hit%, marking her most efficient game since the October 2nd sweep of Midwestern State. Reeves and Lindsey Otero also contributed four block assists, which led the team.

Freshman Carmen Harless set a season-high clip of five service aces which led the team, followed closely by Delaney Fuller. To go along with her attacking showcase, Fuller notched four service aces.

DBU will return to Dallas for a pair of conference clashes, and look to carry on the momentum they have stored following a weekend sweep on the road.
