THE RUNDOWN
Volleyball was swept this afternoon by the No. 3 MSU Denver Roadrunners to put a seal on their Friday in Denver. The Roadrunners were able to neutralize the weapons that the Lady Patriots have been firing at will early on this season, but this allowed others to step into the spotlight.
Price Reeves was a huge bright spot for the Patriots this afternoon, amassing 8.5 points which led the team. Reeves, for the first time this season, led the Lady Patriots in kills with 8. Reeves posted the second-best Hit% out of everyone to touch the court tonight, trailing only MSU Denver's Delaney Eckhardt.Â
MSU Denver posted 13 total blocks in this contest, which is the most that the Lady Patriots have faced so far in this young season (East Central, 11). The Roadrunners were able to post 20 kills more than the Lady Patriots in this afternoon's affair while only having 11 more attacks.Â
The Lady Patriots will look to bounce back tomorrow in bracket play, to wrap up their time in Denver.
