THE RUNDOWN
Volleyball outlasts No. 2 ranked Wayne State University in a five set movie. After suffering a sweep to No. 3 ranked MSU Denver the previous night, the Lady Patriots made a complete turn to put themselves in a position to be successful against another top-ranked team. DBU took sets one, four, and five on the way to victory.
Delaney Fuller's resurgence after running into an MSU Denver defense that presented a lot of trouble was the biggest storyline heading into this afternoon's contest. Fuller set season highs in attack attempts, aces, digs, points and kills. Fuller's .172 Kill% against the Roadrunners last night will soon be forgotten after her legacy performance this afternoon, posting a .410 Kill% against the No. 2 ranked Lady Wildcats.Â
Aryn Walton posted a season-high 58 assists to go along with five service aces, which is also a season-high. Walton assisted on 92% of the Lady Patriots' kills this afternoon. Shaylee Shore led the group in efficiency, putting up a .500 Hit%. Shore finished second in points to Fuller with 18 of her own, a season-high mark, and also set season-highs for kills, aces, and blocks.
The Lady Patriots posted a monumental performance this afternoon, and have just a little bit of time to recover before facing another ranked opponent in Lewis University, tonight at 9 pm from Regis University.
