THE RUNDOWN
The Lady Patriots fall to the No. 21 Angelo State Rambelles in four sets to open the 2024 Lone Star Conference Crossover. DBU would show flashes of dominance in the second set and they'd eventually win it 25-17, holding the Rambelles to a 0.028 Hit% in said frame. Outside of a lopsided fourth and final set, DBU kept it close, resulting in only a -8 point differential this evening.
DBU would out-kill Angelo State in this contest. The Lady Patriots posted a total of 48 kills to the Rambelles' 44. Delaney Fuller as usual would lead the way with 16 kills, followed closely by Karly Wells' line of 15. Daylee Doggett would more than double the rest of the floor in total digs this evening, posting 22 compared to ASU's shared high of ten digs.
Price Reeves would lead the floor in total blocks with three, and Delaney Fuller would also contribute two solo blocks of her own. Lindsey Otero led the group in efficiency posting four kills on eight attempts from her middle position. Setter Aryn Walton would total 39 assists while also contributing a service ace, her 19th of the campaign.
The Lady Patriots will face No. 3 ranked West Texas A&M to conclude the Lone Star Classic Crossover Saturday afternoon.
