Lady Patriots Sweep Weekend with Dominant 3-0 Record, Go Undefeated in Singles Play

THE RUNDOWN
The Dallas Baptist University women's tennis team had a dominant weekend, finishing 3-0 and improving their record to 13-0, marking the best start to a season in program history while showcasing their strength in every match. On Friday, the Lady Patriots began their run with a commanding 7-0 victory over Texas Wesleyan, showcasing their depth and skill from start to finish. They followed that up with another impressive performance on Saturday, defeating Weatherford College 4-0, before rounding out the weekend with a 4-1 win over Central Oklahoma on Sunday. The Patriots' ability to perform under pressure on the road continues to be a defining feature of their success this season.

A key highlight of the weekend was the outstanding singles play, as six players went undefeated in their matches: Leonie Schondelmaier, Isabella Quintero, Isabella Rios, Andrea Delgado, Katia Robinson, and Emily Buchanan. Their consistent victories were pivotal in securing the team's dominant wins. The victory over UCO was particularly significant, as it marked the first time in eight years that DBU has defeated them. Another crucial aspect of the Lady Patriots' success has been their strong doubles play, along with their depth in the lower lines of singles, which has played a pivotal role in their many victories this year. Their success across all areas of the game has been a key factor in DBU maintaining a strong record as they head into the second half of their spring season.

DBU HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE TEAM PERFORMANCE
"Our doubles and our depth have carried us this year, we are happy to be where we are but definitely not complacent, we know the job's not finished"
