Lady Patriots Make Quick Work of McMurry and Hardin-Simmons

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Women's Tennis team was in top form today, sweeping both McMurry and Hardin-Simmons in dominating fashion, winning 7-0 and 4-0, respectively.

Against McMurry, the Lady Patriots started strong in doubles play. The duo of Emilu Buchanan and Jenna Payne, along with Isabella Quintero and Andrea Delgado, each defeated their opponents 6-0, showcasing DBU's early dominance. The momentum carried into singles as well, with Buchanan (line 1), Payne (line 2), Delgado (line 3), and Quintero (line 4) all claiming victories and sealing the 7-0 sweep.

In their second match against Hardin-Simmons, Coach Morgan made some adjustments to the doubles lineup, but the results were the same. The teams of Madalyn Smelley and Isabella Arana Rios, Jenna Payne and Emily Buchanan, and Isabella Quintero and Andrea Delgado all won their matches, continuing DBU's strong doubles play. The Lady Patriots quickly wrapped up the match in singles, with wins from Arana Rios, Buchanan, and Quintero, completing a 4-0 victory. The Lady Patriots showed their strength and depth, dominating both matches from start to finish in both doubles and singles play, not giving an inch to either opponent.


 

UP NEXT
The Lady Patriots will host Texas Wesleyan and Weatherford College at home on March 21st and 22nd before traveling to Oklahoma on Sunday to face Central Oklahoma in a match that was previously postponed.
