The Dallas Baptist Lady Patriot Tennis Team picked up two more wins this past week, before falling to St. Mary's University on March 16, 4-5. DBU defeated the visiting Hornets from Emporia State, 8-1, on March 15, followed by a win over Washburn University, 5-2, a day later.
Against Emporia, the Lady Patriots swept the Hornets in singles action, 6-0. The Doubles Team of
Jeanelle Stines and
Lisa Olian and
Natalie Holmes and
Hannah Innes each picked up wins to seal the 8-1 win.
In the match against Washburn, the Lady Patriots swept the Lady Blues in Doubles action and only lost one match in Singles play.
DBU lost their first match of the season when they fell to the Rattlers from St. Mary's University on Tuesday.
Hannah Innes and
Megan Billings were the only Lady Patriots to pick up wins in Singles play as they each defeated their opponents in two sets. The Doubles teams of Holmes and Innes and
Laura Atkins and
Lexi Yeado continued their strong play, winning 8-2 and 8-4, respectively.
The Lady Patriots will return to the courts on Thursday, March 18, as they take on the University of Arkansas Fort Smith in McAlester, Oklahoma.
