The 2010 Patriot Tennis team was in action on March 2, as they traveled to Brownwood, Texas to take on the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets. The Patriots had a strong showing, with the men's team coming away with a 6-3 victory and the women winning 9-0, respectively.

For the men, the number one team of Richard Abel and Bronson Vaughn and the number three team of Phillip Allen and Clint Baird jumped out to early leads and never looked back winning 8-5 and 8-2.

In singles action, the men stayed strong as they won 4 out of their 6 matches. Bronson Vaughan and Phillip Allen looked impressive as they won in straight sets. Josh King and Clint Baird were also able to come away with victories.

The Lady Patriots looked to make a strong showing and did just that as they did not lose a match throughout the day.

The doubles teams of Jeanelle Stines and Lisa Olian, Hannah Innes and Natalie Holmes, and Laura Atkins and Lexi Yeado were all in top form as they took care of the Yellow Jackets, 3-0.

The Lady Patriots also dominated in singles play, with Jeanelle Stines, Laura Atkins, Megan Billings, and Lexi Yeado coming away with complete shutouts.

The Men's and Women's teams will be back in action March 8, as they travel to Orlando for a three game tournament.
