Box Score

The DBU Lady Patriot Volleyball Team traveled to San Antonio, Saturday, earning a 3-1 win over host-St. Mary's University. The victory is the fourth straight for the DBU club, which is now in sole possession of second place in the Heartland Conference at 6-3, 8-10 overall.

"Everyone had a good day, just solid play on everyone's part," said DBU Head Coach Cathy Kokel. "The team is playing competitively and focused right now."

DBU led from start to finish in the first set, holding as much as a nine-point advantage and taking the frame, 25-17. The second set was much of the same, as the Lady Patriots controlled the majority of the set, excluding a late 5-0 St. Mary's run, eventually finishing the 25-22 win.

The comeback attempt was quickly stopped, however, as Dallas Baptist ran off a pair of 4-0 runs on their way to a 25-18 win, and a 3-1 match victory.
