THE LEAD
Extending their match streak to a season high five wins, the Dallas Baptist Volleyball Team defeated the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm in four sets, 3-1. The Lady Patriots continue their season as they gear up for the final stretch, facing off against Oklahoma Panhandle State on "Dig Pink" night.

WHAT IS "DIG PINK"?
The Side-Out Foundation hosts "Dig Pink!" events across the nation to educate others about breast cancer and to raise funds to support research in the fight against the disease. For more information on "Dig Pink!", visit http://www.side-out.org/. All proceeds raised from the match will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

BIRD NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second straight week, the Heartland Conference named a Lady Patriot, Player of the Week. Setter Kaycie Bird's play during the week of October 5 - October 11 against UT-Permian Basin and Lubbock Christian led to the honor. Full Story

COOPER CLOSING IN ON 100
In her first year with DBU, freshman Cooper Martin has aided in the offensive output of the Lady Patriots. With 93 points, Martin only needs seven more scores to notch 100 points for the season. Lady Patriots that have eclipsed the 100 point margin include Carley Hess (169), Brooke Manley (162.5), Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick (141.5) .

THE LAST TIME OUT
In their first Heartland Conference match of the 2015 season, DBU defeated OPSU in a 3-0 sweep.Many Lady Patriots accumulated match highs, such as Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick and Carly Hess both notching 10 kills, while Kaycie Bird registered 13 assists and Hanna Ballew turned in 14 digs.  

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Sitting in last place in the Heartland Conference standings, it has been a rough road for the Aggies as they continue their 17 match losing streak. Their most recent loss came in the form of a 3-0 sweep from, the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. OPSU ranks third in the Heartland Conference in service aces with 98 and averaging 1.48 per set.
